Things are about to change around here!

I've decided that I'm going to take this blog in a new direction and really let myself go on it. I have a tendency to be too much of a perfectionist, a neat freak, not to mention control freak on certain aspects of my life. I've come to realise that fashion is all about confidence, being comfortable with who you are and I want to share those feelings.
So this is it, Fashion through the eyes of Emily: A personal style diary. Where I hope to share my love of fashion, accessories, make-up, hair ideas, and whatever is inspiring me at the moment (letting it all hang out)! I also have a major passion for Art so hopefully I can incorporate this side of me into the blog as well. I hope you enjoy...

Lots of Love

My professional website is now live on Webs!

Hi All,

I thought it best to create a professional website for myself alongside my blog as a real promotional tool for my work. The website demonstrates my skills and design capabilities by showcasing my entire portfolio as well as other projects I am currently undertaking. Please take a moment to have a browse over it, I would also appreciate any comments you may have regarding my work.

In other news, my creative juices have been flowing and I am very eager to unleash the artistic flair I have. I haven't really done any hand drawn/watercolour work seriously since college, so this is something I would like to get back into once I have a day off work or a spare weekend and now seems like the perfect time to do so. I will make sure I keep you all posted in any developments!

Lots of Love,

My ARTS THREAD Portfolio

Hi Everyone,

I thought it was about time I uploaded my work on the ARTS THREAD website - a great site for graduates like me who want to showcase their work for prospective employees. As I could only choose Four of my best and favourite projects during my time at university I will be uploading the whole of my design portfolio onto issuu.com hopefully in the next week for you all to see what I have been up to, during and after my studies at The University of Sunderland.

Consider this as a taster and feel free to comment to let me know what you think of my work.

Lots of love

Graduate Fashion Week in pictures

Here is a couple of shots taken from Graduate Fashion Week at Earls Court, London. We had a lot of fun on the stand as well as viewing live photo shoots and the fashion shows.

I also got time to look round the Victoria and Albert Museum and fell in love with these Christian Dior beauties...

His autobiography is my first book to read of the summer.

Whilst looking through my collection of Vogue magazine for styling research, I came across this beautiful advertisement by Chanel. Its kind of enchanting and makes me believe that mermaids really do exist...

As my Grandpa would say...

How I imagine LA to look like
"The air is good,
The food is good,
I would live here if I could"
